Sounds of jovial fellowship rang through the church on Saturday night, the 25th of February. Gone were the long, cold nights of mid-winter as good friends gathered together to share in conversation and good food. The Women’s Ministry Team pulled off another of their legendary events when they planned and served a mouth-watering pot luck in the WEBC reception room. Following our meal, we were taken to another room for a warm-up game of charades requiring one to act out, draw, or describe a random subject. Meanwhile the “worker bees” were in the reception room getting it ready for the main event, a game of Bunco presided over by Lucy.

Luckily Bunco is not an activity that requires a whole lot of mental horsepower. Even the least handy of us quickly grasped the idea and the greatest obstacle was playing through the laughter and good-natured banter. The evening was capped off with a “white elephant” exchange based on our achievement in the Bunco game. Wise cracks were the order of the day as each of us jealously guarded (or not) our prize. Deemed a roaring success, our hearty thanks goes to Lucy and her team for giving us this fun experience. – Wally
